Our Mission
Opt-Inspire, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit reimagining digital safety education—delivering it directly to seniors, kids, and families who need it most. Instead of simply making resources available, we seek to embed them into the communities that need them the most.
Through in-person & virtual workshops, tailored toolkits, and direct hands-on support, we mobilize cybersecurity, privacy, legal, and tech professionals to close the generational digital divide // one conversation, one device, one life at a time.
We meet people where they are. Empowering seniors, children, and the families who love them to stay safe, confident, and connected in today’s online world.
What We Offer
Our engaging, interactive sessions feature fewer than ten slides and are thoughtfully designed to wrap up in under 30 minutes, leaving plenty of room for questions, conversation, and even some hands-on help (if volunteers feel comfortable lending a hand with smartphones, tablets, or computers). We’ve discovered this approachable format sparks immediate, meaningful results.
We offer a range of resources tailored to different ages and grade levels, helping parents and schools have real, informed conversations with kids about navigating today's increasingly digital and unpredictable world — including the risks and harms that come with AI. Our approach is designed to feel approachable rather than overwhelming, giving families and educators practical tools they can put to use right away. We've found that meeting kids where they are, developmentally, is what makes the difference.
Opt-Inspire thrives because of its volunteers. Whether you're tech-savvy or simply tech-curious, we provide the training and resources to get you up to speed. No prior experience required. Volunteers help seniors, children, and those who love them build confidence navigating the digital world and protect themselves from scams, making a real, lasting difference in their community. How can I book a session?
Complete the form on our website for senior workshops or kids workshops, and we'll coordinate with volunteers in your area to get one scheduled as soon as possible.
What do I need to do to volunteer?
Once you sign up using the form on our website, you'll receive training videos to complete. After finishing training and attestation, we'll send you all the materials you need and begin outreach to book your first session in your area. If you already have a place in mind, let us know when you sign up and we'll handle outreach on your behalf — or feel free to reach out yourself if you have an existing connection there!
Where are your presentations located?
Wherever we have volunteers, which currently spans most states across the U.S. Reach out if you're looking to volunteer or bring a presentation to your area, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
